Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision in SB Lanes of I-75 Near 17th St
Atlanta, GA (July 3, 2021) – At 2:47 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, July 3, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the collision happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of exit 250 and 17th Street. Several vehicles were taking the exit when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed away from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
