Atlanta, GA (May 16, 2021) – At 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon, May 16, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Atlanta.

According to Atlanta officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of Howell Mill Road. Police have not yet confirmed the exact circumstances of the collision but have said that multiple vehicles collided after one or more lost control. The vehicles involved were badly damaged.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene of the crash to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized, though their identities and conditions have not yet been verified.

Three lanes of traffic were blocked in the area, which led to serious delays for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.

The investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.
