Atlanta, GA – Man Killed in a Fatal Pedestrian Accident on I-285
Atlanta, GA (July 23, 2021) – On Friday morning, a man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident on a highway in Atlanta.
According to police, the driver of a Tesla was traveling east on I-285 around the area of the Cobb Parkway exit when the driver slammed into a barrier in the middle of the road. The driver, identified as a 29-year-old man, got out of his vehicle and was suddenly struck by a Dodge Ram and a Toyota Rav4, which also struck his vehicle.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The 29-year-old man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the highway was blocked until about 8:30 a.m. in the morning.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
