Atlanta, GA – Man Hospitalized, Others Hurt in Fire at 2600 Hollowell Pkwy
Atlanta, GA (November 21, 2021) – On Sunday morning, November 21, several people suffered injuries when a fire broke out at an attached structure in northwest Atlanta.
Atlanta firefighters received the call for a blaze with possible entrapment shortly before 8:00 a.m. and say the incident occurred at a commercial shopping building in the 2600 block of Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. Units arrived shortly thereafter and confirmed a heavy fire on the backside of the building.
A witness was able to assist several people, who were sleeping in an attached structure, before crews arrived, officials said. Firefighters conducted several searches throughout the living quarters and confirmed that there were no other entrapments.
Crews extinguished the blaze before it extended to additional areas of the property.
EMS was called to the scene for several injured victims, including an adult male suffering from difficulty breathing.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, and further details about those involved have not been provided.
Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family in hopes of a full recovery.
