Atlanta, GA – Lanes Blocked After Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-85
Atlanta, GA (April 18, 2021) – At 7:26 p.m. on the evening of Saturday, April 17, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Cleveland Avenue. Multiple vehicles collided in the area for reasons that are not yet fully known, which led to damages.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, a red alert was issued and all lanes were blocked for some time. This led to delays until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
