6/27 Morrow, GA – Car Accident in NB Lanes of I-75 Leads to Injuries

Atlanta, GA (January 3, 2022) – At 5:36 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, January 2, an injury accident took place on a major highway in Atlanta.

Atlanta officials confirmed that the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-285 around the area of exit 18, Paces Ferry Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to collide with each other. The forceful accident led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.

Local responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.

Due to the severity of the collision, three right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time. Police urged those in the area to use Cumberland Parkway as an alternate route.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
