Atlanta, GA – Injury Accident in NB Lanes of I-75 Near Exit 241
Atlanta, GA (January 2, 2021) – On the morning of Sunday, January 2, a red alert was issued following an injury accident on an Atlanta highway.
Atlanta Police confirmed that the crash took place at 7:57 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-75. The crash happened near the area of exit 241, Cleveland Avenue. Several vehicles were traveling in the northbound lanes of traffic when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to collide with each other. This caused extensive damages to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders, including fire crews, were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.
A red alert was issued in the area, which closed down many lanes of traffic until police cleared the scene. Until then, police urged those in the area to use I-85 as an alternate route.
