Atlanta, GA – Injuries Reported in Multi-Vehicle Crash in WB Lanes of I-20
Atlanta, GA (April 7, 2022) – At 5:13 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, April 7, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries took place in Atlanta.
According to officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of exit 52, Holmes Drive. Several vehicles were traveling in the westbound lanes of traffic when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained severe damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for some time as police worked to clear the scene. Police urged those in the area to use MLK Jr. Drive as an alternate route until the scene was cleared.
