Atlanta, GA – Five-Vehicle Collision with Injuries on GA-166
Atlanta, GA (June 6, 2021) – At 11:49 p.m. on the night of Saturday, June 5, a five-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of GA-166 around the area of I-75. Officers found that five vehicles were involved in the accident. An investigation found that a driver pulled over their Chevy due to a flat tire. The driver of a Honda pulled over so that they could assist the driver of the Chevy.
At that time, a Honda was struck by a Nissan in the rear. The collision was so forceful that the Honda struck a Chevy Cruze. The driver of the Honda was outside her vehicle and was struck due to a vehicle hitting her. The Nissan was then struck by an Infiniti and a Ford van.
There was a passenger inside the Honda who was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. The pedestrian who was struck was also taken to the hospital but is expected to recover.
The driver of the Nissan was taken into custody and charges are pending at this time.
