Atlanta, GA – FedEx Truck Accident with Injuries in SB Lanes of I-85
Atlanta, GA (January 10, 2022) – Before 10 a.m. on Monday morning, January 10, a FedEx truck accident with injuries occurred in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Chamblee Tucker Road. Two FedEx vehicles were traveling in the area when, due to reasons that are not yet known, they collided forcefully with each other. It is possible that several other vehicles became involved in the crash. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene. This caused debris to come scattered all over the highway as well.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Several victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The injured victims were hospitalized with unknown injuries.
Two right lanes of traffic were closed in the area for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Buford Highway as an alternate route.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
