Atlanta, GA – Fatal Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Piedmont Rd
Atlanta, GA (April 6, 2021) – At 3 a.m. on Saturday morning, April 3, a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident occurred on a roadway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened on Piedmont Road around the area of Lindbergh Drive. A 28-year-old man was walking in the area when he was suddenly struck by a dark-colored Range Rover. The driver fled the scene without stopping.
The 28-year-old was severely injured and taken to a local hospital. He was pronounced dead while hospitalized.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
