Atlanta, GA – Chain-Reaction Collision on GA-400 Leads to Injuries
Atlanta, GA (July 14, 2021) – At 5 p.m. on Wednesday evening, July 14, a chain-reaction collision occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta authorities, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of GA-400 around the area of exit 2, Lenox Road. Several vehicles were traveling on the highway in the area when they were involved in a chain-reaction collision. Several vehicles were badly damaged and removed from the scene by tow trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Several lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to use Roswell Road as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
