Atlanta, GA – Chain-Reaction Collision in NB Lanes of I-75
Atlanta, GA (July 8, 2021) – At 11:08 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, July 8, a chain-reaction collision with injuries occurred in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-75 around the area of Edgewood Avenue. Four vehicles were traveling in the northbound lanes of traffic when they slammed into one another. The vehicle in the back, identified as a red pickup truck, sustained severe damages as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were seriously injured in the collision and had to be transported to the hospital for treatment. Their current conditions are not yet known.
The second left lane was blocked as a result of the collision, which led to delays in the area for some time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
