Atlanta, GA – Car Crash Results in Injuries on I-285 at Glenwood Rd
Atlanta, GA (May 9, 2021) – On Sunday evening, May 9, a car accident took place on a major highway in Atlanta that led to at least one injured victim.
The accident, according to police, happened around 6:30 p.m. when two or more vehicles collided on northbound Interstate 285 at the Glenwood Road exit and milepost 44. Numerous vehicles sustained damage in the accident, though it’s unclear how the accident was caused.
Paramedics, fire crews, and multiple other responders were immediately dispatched to assist at the scene of the accident. Medical personnel found that one or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured parties were treated at the scene or hospitalized as a result.
Several lanes were blocked in the area until officers with the Atlanta Police Department were able to clear the scene. Police urged those traveling through the area to use alternate routes.
