Atlanta, GA – Car Crash on The Perimeter Near Ashford Dunwoody Rd
Atlanta, GA (July 6, 2021) – At 4:06 p.m. on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 6, a car crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of The Perimeter around the area of Ashford Dunwoody Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
Two center lanes of traffic were blocked for an extended period of time. Police urged those in the area to take Mt. Vernon or I-85 as alternate routes.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
