Atlanta, GA – Car Crash on I-85 Near N Druid Hills Rd Leads to Injuries
Atlanta, GA (July 3, 2021) – At 10:56 p.m. on the night of Friday, July 2, a car crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of North Druid Hills Road. Several vehicles were traveling on the highway in the late-night hours when they collided with each other. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes until police were able to fully clear the scene. The vehicles involved in the crash were removed by tow trucks.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues at this time.
