Atlanta, GA – Car Accident on I-85 on Buffington Rd Leads to Injuries
Atlanta, GA (August 22, 2021) – At 11:59 p.m. on the night of Saturday, August 21, a car accident occurred on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Buffington Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result and had to be removed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time as police worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
