Atlanta, GA – Car Accident on I-285 Near Paces Ferry Rd
Atlanta, GA (July 6, 2021) – At 1:53 p.m. on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 6, a car accident with injuries occurred in Atlanta.
According to Cobb County officials, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-285 around the area of Paces Ferry Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the crash were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Two left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to use I-75 as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
