Atlanta, GA – Car Accident on I-20 Near Lee St Leads to Injuries
Atlanta, GA (August 10, 2021) – At 11:54 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, August 10, a car accident with injuries occurred on an Atlanta highway.
According to police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of exit 55, Lee Street. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling on the highway when they were involved in a chain-reaction collision. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
All lanes of traffic remained open but there were delays in the area for some time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
