Atlanta, GA (May 23, 2021) – At 1:13 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, May 23, a car accident with injuries occurred in Atlanta.

According to officials, the accident happened on the Downtown Connector near the area of I-20. Several vehicles were traveling on the highway in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized for their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.

Due to the severity of the crash, all lanes of traffic were blocked for some time. Police urged those in the area to seek alternate routes.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
