Atlanta, GA – Car Accident in WB Lanes of I-20 Near Lowery Blvd
Atlanta, GA (June 27, 2021) – At 2:24 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, June 26, a car accident with injuries took place on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Lowery Boulevard. Several vehicles were traveling in the area due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were left with severe damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not known at this time.
Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for a period of time until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
