Atlanta, GA (June 11, 2021) – At 12:16 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, June 11, a car accident with injuries occurred in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of University Avenue. Two or more vehicles were traveling on the highway when they collided due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the collision were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time, which led to delays.
