Atlanta, GA – Car Accident in NB Lanes of I-85 Near Shallowford Rd
Atlanta, GA (April 29, 2021) – Around 9:30 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, April 29, a car accident happened on a highway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Shallowford Road. Two or more vehicles collided in the area due to reasons that are not yet known, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Two right lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time, which led to delays. Police urged those in the area to use Buford Highway as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
