Atlanta, GA – Car Accident at S Fulton Pkwy & Buffington Rd Intersection
Atlanta, GA (August 23, 2021) – At 4:28 p.m. on the afternoon of Monday, August 23, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Atlanta.
According to Fulton County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of South Fulton Parkway and Buffington Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, colliding forcefully with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in both directions at the intersection for some time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
