Atlanta, GA – Car Accident at Piedmont Rd & Habersham Rd Intersection
Atlanta, GA (July 16, 2021) – At 3:32 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, July 16, a car accident with injuries occurred in Atlanta.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Piedmont Road and Habersham Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes for a period of time as police cleared the scene. Police urged those in the area to use Roswell Road as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
