Atlanta, GA – Car Accident at N Druid Hills Rd & Briarwood Rd
Atlanta, GA (July 1, 2021) – At 8:31 a.m. on the morning of Thursday, July 1, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Atlanta.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of North Druid Hills Road and Briarwood Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to entering the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved in the collision were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for approximately 60 minutes. Police urged those in the area to use alternate routes for some time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
