Atlanta, GA – Car Accident at Buford Hwy & Afton Ln Intersection
Atlanta, GA (May 13, 2021) – At 7:48 a.m. on Thursday, May 13, a car accident occurred at an intersection in Atlanta.
According to Brookhaven Police, the accident occurred at the intersection of Buford Highway and Afton Lane. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. They collided forcefully, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were rushed to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
All lanes of traffic were blocked at the intersection until police cleared the scene. Police urged those in the area to use alternate routes.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
