Atlanta, GA – Bus Accident with Injuries on Ponce De Leon Ave
Atlanta, GA (June 8, 2021) – At 3:12 p.m. on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 8, a bus accident with injuries occurred on a roadway in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of Ponce De Leon Avenue near the area of Ponce City Market. A MARTA bus and at least one other vehicle collided due to reasons that are not yet known.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
One lane of traffic was blocked in the area for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
