.Atlanta, GA (August 25, 2021) – Around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening, August 25, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in the DeKalb County area.
According to Atlanta officials, the accident took place in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 285 near the Ashford Dunwoody Road exit. Few details have been released but police confirmed that two vehicles collided in the area.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the crash to help those in need. One injured victim was transported to the hospital for treatment, where they remain in stable condition. Other victims were treated for injuries at the scene.
Two left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for at least an hour, which led to extensive delays until police cleared the scene around 7:30 p.m.
