Athens, GA – Jackson St & Fulton St Site of Multi-Vehicle Accident With Injuries
Athens, GA (December 7, 2021) – On Monday, December 6, a car crash took place at an intersection in Athens that led to injuries.
According to the University of Georgia Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Jackson Street and Fulton Street. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One of the drivers, who has not yet been formally identified, was taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Their condition is not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
