Athens, GA – Driver Injured in Car Accident at E Campus Rd & Baldwin St
Athens, GA (August 26, 2021) – At 10:54 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, August 26, a driver was injured in a car accident in Athens.
According to the University of Georgia Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of East Campus Road and Baldwin Street. Two or more vehicles entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The driver of one of the vehicles, who has not yet been identified, was injured in the crash. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for a period of time as police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
