Athens, GA – Car Crash with Injuries at Hull St & Baxter St
Athens, GA (October 21, 2021) – At 7:51 p.m. on the evening of Tuesday, October 19, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Athens.
According to the University of Georgia Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Hull Street and Baxter Street. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when the vehicles entered the intersection at the same time, forcefully colliding with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person was injured as a result of the accident. The party was hospitalized but is expected to recover.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
