Athens, GA – Car Wreck with Injuries at College Statin Rd & River Rd
Athens, GA (October 14, 2021) – At 5:21 p.m. on the evening of Wednesday, October 13, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Athens.
According to the University of Georgia Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of College Station Road and River Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. This caused the vehicles to forcefully collide with each other. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One victim was injured as a result of the accident. The injured victim’s condition is not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
