Armuchee, GA – Head-on Collision Leads to Injuries at GA-27 & Hawkins Rd
Armuchee, GA (August 2, 2022) – Serious injuries were reported in a head-on collision that took place at an intersection in Armuchee on Tuesday evening, August 2.
Floyd County officials confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. It is believed that one of the vehicles went over the center line, slamming head-on into another vehicle. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result of the crash.
Several emergency responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties sustained serious injuries as a result of the accident. After being extricated from their vehicle by fire crews, the party was rushed to the hospital for further treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
