Aragon, GA – Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident on GA-101
Aragon, GA (June 1, 2021) – On Saturday, May 30, a man was killed in a motorcycle accident on a major highway in Aragon.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident took place on GA-101 around the area of Burton’s Kwik Stop. Police confirmed that a motorcyclist was traveling north in the area when a pickup truck failed to yield for him. The pickup truck struck the motorcyclist in the front, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The motorcyclist, identified as a 53-year-old man, was transported to Floyd Medical Center and was pronounced dead along the way.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
