Appling, GA – Two-Vehicle Collision on I-20 Leads to Injuries
Appling, GA (October 19, 2021) – At 8:46 a.m. on Tuesday morning, October 19, a two-vehicle collision with injuries occurred in Appling.
According to Columbia County officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around the area of mile marker 184. Two vehicles were traveling in the eastbound lanes of traffic when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police cleared the scene.
