Workplace Accidents in Georgia
Workplaces should be some of the safest places in Georgia but, unfortunately, accidents happen every year that could have been prevented. In 2019 alone, it was reported that approximately 207 people were killed in workplace accidents due to the outright recklessness of others. Employers are supposed to do anything in their nature to keep a workplace safe from harm. Still, every year, these accidents continue to increase due to negligent acts. The truth is, many workplace accidents can be prevented but continue to occur due to the outright recklessness of others. If you have sustained injuries in a work-related accident, you will have to show that another party is at fault for your accident. It is imperative that you speak with an attorney that you can trust at this time.
The aftermath of a workplace accident can leave you in a challenging position that you may not be prepared to face on your own. Some of the most common accidents that happen in the workplace include the following:
• Slips and falls
• Muscle strains
• Being struck by falling objects
• Repetitive injuries
• Inhaling toxic fumes
• Electric shock
The injuries that stem from these accidents can be severe and life-altering in nature, leaving you in a difficult position. As you attempt to get back on your feet, you may be concerned about how you will afford to pay the bills that pile up. It is imperative that you speak with an Americus personal injury lawyer that you can rely on.
