5/23 Alto, GA – Two Killed in Fatal Crash on GA-365 Near Mud Creek Rd

Alto, GA (May 23, 2021) – At 2:42 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, May 23, a fatal crash took place on a major Alto roadway.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident took place in the southbound lanes of GA-365 around the area of Mud Creek Road. A silver Honda was traveling in the area when it collided with several vehicles at high speeds. One of the vehicles was identified as a Toyota Tacoma, which lost control and traveled into the median where it overturned. The Honda also collided with a Toyota Tundra in the area. A fourth vehicle traveling in the area struck debris caused by the initial accident.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The driver and the passenger in the overturned vehicle were traumatically injured and pronounced dead at the scene.

Both northbound and southbound lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for some time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
