Alto, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash at GA-365 & L C Turner Rd Injures One
Alto, GA (March 23, 2022) – Around 4 p.m. on Monday afternoon, March 21, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries took place at an intersection in Alto.
According to Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-365 and L. C. Turner Road. A driver was in a Dodge Ram when the driver attempted to make a left turn. The front of the pickup truck struck the driver’s side of a Ford Ranger.
Both vehicles spun out of control as a result. A third driver, identified as a 21-year-old woman, wanted to avoid the accident and went into the other lane of traffic, where her pickup truck struck a Toyota 4 Runner. The 4 Runner then ran into a Buick. All of the involved vehicles sustained immense damage.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the Ford Ranger, identified as a 66-year-old man, was the only person injured in the accident. He was taken to the hospital with injuries but is expected to be okay.
The driver of the Dodge Ram, identified as a 70-year-old man, was charged with failing to yield while making a left turn. The third driver was charged with making an improper lane change.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
