Albany, GA – Man Killed in Fatal Truck Crash on Liberty Expy
Albany, GA (January 4, 2022) – According to Dougherty County officials, a fatal truck crash occurred on a major roadway in Albany.
On Monday night, January 3, a man was killed in a fatal truck crash at the intersection of Liberty Expressway and Williamsburg Road. A passenger vehicle was traveling in the area when it suddenly entered the intersection, causing it to be struck by a tractor-trailer. As a result, the vehicles were extensively damaged.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A male driver who was operating the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Nobody else was injured in the accident.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
