8/26 Adel, GA – One Killed in Fatal House Fire on Caulie Harris Rd

Adel, GA (August 26, 2021) – Around 1:54 a.m. on Wednesday morning, August 25, one person was killed in a fatal house fire in Adel.

According to Cook County Sheriff’s Office deputies, the incident happened in a home on Caulie Harris Road. A 911 call was immediately made and fire crews were called to the scene. When they arrived at the scene, the house was fully engulfed in flames and the roof had collapsed. A small shed next to the home also caught on fire.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene. A person inside the home was unable to get out and was pulled out by fire crews. Unfortunately, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

The area was blocked for a period of time as police cleared the scene.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
