Acworth, GA – Rollover Accident on I-75 Near Northside Dr
Acworth, GA (June 8, 2021) – At 1:31 p.m. on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 8, a rollover accident with injuries took place in Acworth.
According to local officials, the accident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-75 around the area of Northside Drive. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other, causing one of them to roll over. The rolled vehicle was left with severe damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hospitalized with injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time. Police urged those traveling through the area to use Howell Mill Road as an alternate route.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
