Acworth, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-285 Near New Northside Dr
Acworth, GA (May 15, 2021) – At 10 p.m. on the night of Saturday, May 15, a multi-vehicle crash with injuries took place on an Acworth highway.
According to Cobb County officials, the accident happened in the westbound lanes of I-285 around the area of New Northside Drive. Several vehicles were driving in the area when they collided with each other. This led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Two right lanes of traffic were blocked for some time, which led to delays.
The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
