Acworth, GA – Motorcyclist Dies In Cobb Parkway High-Speed Chase
Acworth, GA (March 28, 2023) On Monday night, a motorcyclist who was engaged in a high-speed pursuit across multiple counties met with a fatal accident after colliding with a car in the vicinity of Cobb Parkway and Acworth Summit Boulevard.
As per the Georgia State Patrol, the motorcyclist was approaching the intersection at an excessive speed and crashed into a Honda Accord that was making a left turn. The motorcyclist, who was male, was killed instantly at the site, while the Honda driver was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries. Prior to the accident, the Georgia State Patrol stated that troopers were assisting the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office in pursuing two motorcyclists who were racing on GA 3 near Mockingbird Road. One of the riders was subsequently pursued by troopers and continued driving recklessly into Cobb County.
Authorities have not yet identified the motorcyclist who lost their life in the accident.
