Acworth, GA – Fatal Tractor-Trailer Crash in NB Lanes of I-75
Acworth, GA (May 11, 2021) – On Tuesday morning, May 11, a fatal tractor-trailer crash occurred on a highway in Acworth.
According to officials, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of I-75 around the area of Highway 92. Two tractor-trailers were traveling in the area when they collided with each other. This led to extensive damages to both trucks.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. One person, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not known if any parties were injured.
Due to the severity of the crash, the roadway was blocked in both directions. This led to extensive delays until police cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
