Acworth, GA – Car Accident on I-75 Near Hwy 92 Leads to Injuries
Acworth, GA (July 25, 2021) – At 1:52 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, July 25, a car accident with injuries occurred on a highway in Acworth.
According to police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-75 around the area of Highway 92. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided with each other in the area due to unknown reasons. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged due to the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in multiple lanes until police were able to clear the scene. This led to delays in the area until the scene was cleared. Police urged those in the area to use Highway 41 as an alternate route.
