Acworth, GA – Car Accident at GA-92 & Bells Ferry Rd Intersection
Acworth, GA (June 15, 2021) – At 10:51 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, June 15, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Acworth.
According to the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at the intersection of Bells Ferry Road and GA-92. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they suddenly collided after entering the intersection. The vehicles involved in the accident were left with extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Eastbound lanes of traffic were closed down at the intersection for a period of time. Police urged those in the area to avoid the intersection until they cleared the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
