Atlanta, GA – Rollover Accident Leads to Injuries in NB Lanes of I-85
Atlanta, GA (April 1, 2023) – A rollover collision took place on a highway in Atlanta that caused injuries on the afternoon of Saturday, April 1.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened around 3:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Spaghetti Junction. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the northbound lanes of the highway when they collided with each other, causing one of the vehicles to overturn. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver was removed from their vehicle by fire crews. They were then rushed to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries, though their current condition is not yet known.
Three lanes of traffic were blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible so traffic could return to normal.
