Buford, GA – Update: Fatal Accident on GA-13 Near Friendship Rd
Buford, GA (April 28, 2021) – On Tuesday, April 27, a fatal accident took place on a major roadway in Buford that took the life of one person.
According to police, the accident happened on GA-13 around the area of Friendship Road. Two vehicles collided with each other in the area due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. A 64-year-old female driver in one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of traumatic injuries. The male driver of the other vehicle was injured and taken to Georgia Medical Center for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time until police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
