ATLANTA, GA January 25, 2017-- When Atlanta attorney Ken Nugent read about the devastation in Albany after the storms hit in early January, he was concerned about his employees in his south Georgia office. After the recent tornado hit the town again, he knew he had to do something to help.

Nugent pledged $25,000 to Albany City Commissioner BJ Fletcher after he heard about her call to all small businesses to join forces and help storm victims in need.

"The storms and tornadoes of the past weeks have wrecked the land- scape of our neighborhoods and the lives of our neighbors but Ken Nugent is committed to helping Dougherty County rebuild. He has donated $25,000 to aid in the recovery efforts. Be assured that 100% of this donation will be used right here in our city," City Commission- er BJ Fletcher said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.

Nugent plans to visit Albany, GA on Wednesday, February 1 at 11 AM so he can personally deliver the check to Fletcher. The two will then make a site visit to the areas most in need.

“Each of my law offices is like a family to me, and I always put family first.” Nugent explained. “When BJ made the challenge, I knew I had to help.”
